Overview of Workshop
Functional radiosurgery, a rapidly evolving field, involves precise and non-invasive stereotactic radiosurgery to target specific functional areas of the brain and has transformed the ability to treat neurological disorders including movement disorders, epilepsy, and chronic pain. This full day workshop will bring together experts from various disciplines including neurosurgery, radiation oncology, and medical physics to share their expertise, experiences and future insights in treating patients with functional radiosurgery. The course offers didactic CME lectures on functional radiosurgery in the morning. The afternoon will include a 3.5 hour hands-on training session where experts will highlight treatment planning tips and tricks for functional radiosurgery cases to the attendees at vendor stations.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn about the multidisciplinary approach to functional radiosurgery, gain insights into the latest research, techniques and best practices in the field and interact with experts in field during panel discussions.
Planning Committee Chairs:Pantaleo Romanelli, MD, Director of Neurosurgery and Stereotactic Radiosurgery, The Renaissance Institute,Winter Park,FL,USA
