Mr. Evangelos Pantelis holds a BSc degree in Physics, an MSc in Medical Physics, and a PhD in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUoA). He currently serves as Associate Professor in the Medical Physics laboratory at the Medical School of the NKUoA. He has more than 18 years of experience in CyberKnife radiosurgery. His research interests focus on the clinical applications of ionizing radiation. In particular they concern the optimization of modern radiotherapy applications, including image-guided radiotherapy and stereotactic radiotherapy / radiosurgery and intensity modulated radiotherapy. Mr. Pantelis has co-authored 70 original papers published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals, which have received over 1,400 citations (source: Scopus, December 2024). His research has also been presented at 70 local and international scientific conferences. Additionally, he co-edited the book CyberKnife NeuroRadiosurgery: A Practical Guide (ISBN: 9783030506681) and contributed six chapters to multi-authored scientific books.
