My name is Karin Skalina, I'm a radiation oncology resident at Montefiore Medical Center, currently serving as vice chair of the RSS residents executive committee. I completed my PhD in the laboratory of Dr. Chandan Guha studying the immunotherapeutic potential of radiation therapy and focused ultrasound therapy. After graduating from the MD/PhD program at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2020, I completed my intern year at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut before returning to the Bronx for residency.
