Post-doctoral researcher
Institut Curie
Orsay, France
Dr. Annaïg Bertho is a senior postdoctoral researcher in radiobiology at the Institut Curie, France. She is part of the "New Approaches in Radiotherapy" team led by Dr. Yolanda Prezado. Her research focuses on understanding the physiopathological and radiobiological mechanisms in response to innovative radiotherapy techniques, particularly mini-beam and FLASH radiation therapy.
She holds a PhD in Physiology, Pathophysiology, and Therapeutics from Sorbonne University. Since 2020, her research has explored, among others, the immune response to minibeam radiation therapy, the potential benefits of thoracic proton minibeam therapy, and the role of oxygen supplementation during anaesthesia in proton FLASH and conventional proton therapy. She has authored 18 publications and received 3 awards for her contributions to the field.
Her goal is to develop innovative radiotherapy approaches that improve tumor control while minimizing side effects, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for cancer patients.
